Dr. Samuel Jayakumar

Samuel Jayakumar along with his family were former missionaries to North India. After leaving the mission filed, Dr. Jayakumar had researched in the Indian and Western universities for his doctoral and post-doctoral studies.

He has authored and published several articles and books in the filed of mission history and contextual theologies. Over 40 years, he has taught at graduate and post graduate level Seminaries and Colleges. For six years he was the Principal of Madras Theological Seminary & College of the Evangelical Church of India. Since 2005 he was supervisor of theses at M.Th. level and Doctoral level candidates. He was a member of Research Committee of Board of Theological Education of the Senate of Serampore College (2003 – 2005).

His daughter Ida and her husband Rev. J Samuel along with their three children are doing ministry in the Erode district. His Son Paul Ragland and his wife Pamela along with their son are living in Mexico. Dr. Jayakumar is a Langham Scholar and an ordained minister. He hails from Nazareth, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
